Here are some pictures of the new rims going on the Mark. Originally, I was going with Forgeline rims, but unfortunately, they will not fit with the Focus RS / Cobra R Brembo front calipers that are being installed. They are going to be 18" rims all around, and the rears are 10" wide - (11" actually measured)

I like the Mesh rim design the best, and the Pro Touring design second. What do you guys think?

I agree with Jamie. I've never liked the fake bolts/rivets. They look like a nightmare for cleaning and waxing to me.

Sorry Mike. I've seen too many fake ones I guess.:)

Are the ones without the exposed bolts, 3 peice also?

I'd still hate to wax around those bolts.:)

I like those wheels Mike... they will be a very welcome improvement to the stock 16" although the combo will weigh more than the super light octastars.

Thanks everyone for your opinion. :)

I do not know how many pieces the Pro Touring rim is, Bill. I also like the smooth look of that rim. My concern is aimed more towards track time abuse, and the Mesh design offers the additional strength of the bolts.

I can just imagine what it is going to be like to clean the rims, but will deal with it to have a rim that can take the punishment. I will check what Boze has to say about the two rims, and see if there is a difference in strength. I will also find out how much they weigh.

That might be a possibility. I had offered them to Big Scott (Dr. Frankencougie on TCCOA) to put them on his Mark first. Depends on what he decides to do. :)

I stopped by Aric's shop today to get the scoop on the rims. The Pro Touring rims also have the bolts, but they are on the inside (pointing towards the caliper) so you can't see them.

So, I am now going with the Pro Touring style rim that has the smooth look. :)

Ryan said the rotors are still on backorder for at least another week. The silver Focus RS Brembo calipers are discontinued, and the vendor did not notify Ryan that they were disco'ed, even though he ordered them.

He is going to check with another supplier, and if no luck, the black Cobra R Brembos are in stock. The problem with the black Brembos, I have to buy them as a kit that includes rotors that I do not need.

The Big Ed rear caliper extensions are in too. I am excited to see this stuff on the Mark. It is going to really set the car off, and it will be nice to have some serious stopping power.

Those wheels sound like the best of both worlds Mike.

Wax on, wax off, it's that easy.:)

Calipers very powerfull indeed. Quickly stop they must....

Those calipers are sweet Mike! I like the second set of rims without the studs. Looks alot easier to clean. To many screwholes in the other ones to trap dirt and grime around the edges. Cant wait to see your ride...Im going to nickname your car Fort Knox, cause theres a ton of gold in it. Jesus.... I need to come work for you. lol Very nice rims. :)

Thanks Guys. I searched quite a few different custom wheel companies, and I did not find another wheel like this one that has the screws turned inboard. I like the look, and should be as easy as a cast wheel to clean without the screws showing.

Enough talking about it though :) I really hope it is all done by SSHS7!

Jeff, I have a supercharged Mark VIII vs Marauder grudge match brewing for Friday night - the day before SSHS7. I would like to see your name in the hat as well! Hope your build is coming along good. :)

Aric ordered the rims today. He went with a 9" rear rim (10" actual measured). He said a 315 Nitto DR would fit inside the wheelwell on this rim with a modified rear sway bar, as they run small size wise compared to the Toyo tire and others. I cant remember what size Toyo tire he said will fit. I think it was a 275 or 285 - i dunno. :)

The problem using a 10" rear rim (11" actual measured) is, there would be no rim lip with the style of rim chosen. Using the 9" rim will give us some lip that is equal in size to the front rim lip.

lol, The first rim manufacturer could not make a rim to fit the Brembo calipers in front, and the second company could not make a 10" rim with a lip fit.

At least all the measuring and research stuff is done, and they are on order now. I can't wait until they get here :)

I will see if Ryan can send me a copy of everything. He showed me a folder full of different measurements and views they did already from both Forgeline and Boze. If he can't, I will try and get just the final numbers for you Jeremi.

Ryan called me last night, and said the Boze Rims have been cut, and are being finished up now. They will ship sometime next week. :)
