Bubbling trim around Drivers window Gen 2

But they continue to rust. Mine was replaced under warranty a while ago, and the rust is back. Just a poor design probably.
 
Is there a way to prevent this?
Mine are perfect right now, I'd like to keep them that way if possible...
 
It appears these rust out from the inside out, starting at the edge where it slides into the door frame. I guess taking it out and sealing it there, at those 45 deg cuts from the inside might help it out in the long run.
 
i have a pair of these currently on a 97 in my shop, and possibly another good pair on my 94 thats outside my shop, shipping them suck though!
