Bushings

I had lower control arm and struts put on my car along with the bushings that came with them. Turns out that the bushings are way too weak. The suspension pops all the time and the mechanic showed me where the problem was. The bushings are very easily squished togeather and looks to be made for the weight of a tourus or something. Anyway, while it's working right now I need to get some new bushings for these endlinks. I've heard of some speacial bushings kits on this forum before. Could anyone give me a link or some advice? Thanks.\

RE: Bushings

If your mechanic tightened up all that lower side stuff with the weight off the wheels and suspension vertically extended, then most likely that's the problem. It all should be only lightly snugged, then weight put on front wheels via drive on lifts or ramps to compress suspension to normal ride height then toqued to spec.
If tightened with susp extended, quite likely excessive twist is placed on these bushings involved. This can lead to bushing not flexing properly, or early failure.
