Car show only for Marks 5/9/09 Holbrook, NY ** NEW DATE**

Hi all...funny ....I never knew about this message board before - I always typed in ".com" instead of ".org" though I did know the name...just the wrong site.

Came across this posting in a google search about the Mark VIII's of the State of NY - I am a member of the club and, also, know Leo from years of doing shows with my various cars (See my profile for a link to my site about my other toys).

Blown LSC is correct - we are just some local guys on Long Island and the Queens area that created a way to actively and reguliarly gather to play with our cars, as a group.

In addition to the show we have coming up this weekend we just took a club meet to the Javitz Auto Show in NYC and are planning a club outing for breakfast and then off to the Himes Museum of Auto Racing Nostaligia later in May...the Summer usualluy sees a BBQ, or two, as well...it's all a bunch of fun and if you are near or in the area I'd recommend looking us up - the party only gets better when it's bigger.

We've had meets that teamed us with a local Mark VII club, met up with some members of a Mark VII club out of New Jersey as well as the LI Volkswagen club.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not trying to "Lure" anyone away from another club...just being the friendly sort of folks we are
 
No rules that say you can't belong to more than one club...... sounds like they are having a GREAT time. Hope youse New Yorkers can join us other Mark VIII owners in Carlisle!!!
 
yea we'll see what we can do, for now I'm a NEw Yorker, lemme go be with my people, lol
 
Which/When is the Carlisle Event that would be apprpriate for Mark's? I plan to go to the Kit Car Nationals in Mid May and Fall/Spring Carlisle is always great.

It won't be possible for me to participate, since I live in Indiana. It's impossible to find any posters with Marks on them - ever - and I'd love to have one for the garage. Shame, they sure are cool!! Good luck with your show!

Welcome New York Mark owners!

You guys have some great meets. I've seen a lot of the photos. Beautiful cars!

They all should be at Carlisle too though.:D

Your club seems to have a lot of rules about membership, and I'm not sayin' this is a bad thing, but I was gonna sign up for the message board, and now I'm not so sure...

Will you accept a Cadillac from Mass who's in NY a lot? :D
Plus is gives me an opportunity to post two of my favorite pics that I've been getting a lot of milage out of recently... :D

BTW these are from Carlisle... which you SHOULD ALL GO TO!!! :D

In a sense we already have one, it's called Carlisle! Look at the stats as of today, it's nearly only Marks... out of 35 Lincolns registered only 3 are not a Mark
