Center wheel caps for directionals

RE: Center wheel caps for directionals

Leo, on a side note(sorry, but as of yet, I dont need any). I noticed the other day, since I moved our 97's chrome 10-spokes to my 94, I washed the car, and the wheels(like the neat freak I am). The next day I had the car on the lift, and removed the rear tires. One of them was still holding water!

The water was trapped behind the centercap.

I dont know what can be done to eliminate this, as it was the only wheel that held water, but if the same thing happens on Moose, perhaps trapped water was what caused the center cap to corrode into oblivion.

Maybe while you have the centers off(unless I'm too late) you could take a peek inside the bore and try to find out if the hub area has water build up evidence.

Just a thought/to prevent it from happening on the other 3.

The price on them has gone up a lot. I had picked up a few from 5 Star a few years back and they discounted them for me for like $6. I rememeber when the HIDs bulbs were like $65.

What kind of bulbs does the Mark use? I just picked up some D2R's for my LS. It was $70 for a pair of Philips shippied. D2S bulbs are even cheaper.

Leo, I hope I don't need any centercaps, but I remember last year when I did because I lost one on the way to Carlisle. I have some xtra now... in the garage since I forgot to pack 'em!
