Hey all,Have not been too active lately,switched to nights at work so I can care for my parents during daytime hours.
Got off work at 12AM,went grocery shopping,then got robbed at gunpoint
in front of myparents house in hometown suburbia by two gentlemen of african american descent(PC)what an ordeal,while I was carrying in groceries.Detective says this is the new thing for thugs.Rob you at home.
Apparently all you need to do is wash car in drive to open yourself up to
interlopers or whatnot.I am determined to not let this cause parnoia but Im going to curtail latenight shopping.
 
Holy Crap! What did they get....hopefully you spent all your money on groceries!
 
That's horrible. I am glad you were not injured. Did they get away with lots of money or valuables?

In this case I want to say, start carrying a gun... but if you think about the final outcome... possible deaths ! It becomes not worth losing a few possessions over.

I really hope this isn't going to happen to you again.

I was robbed of my wallet once, BUT NOT AT GUN POINT! I was not afraid of losing my life, Just getting the crap beat out of me by four BIG guys. They got the $20 in my wallet and threw the wallet back as they ran.

I'm glad your OK. Anything they took is not worth your life.

I still think about that night VERY SCARY!

To this day I'm sill angry at those guys and also sad they felt that was the only way the could survive.
 
Yes,all my money was spent getting groceries.They got away with 60 dollars,A mastercard and they also took my cellphone.That was the worst loss as I had a cadre of numbers stored in memory.For all who are wondering,Yes,I have armed myself.I gave up carrying years ago as I felt it was a poor response to social problem.Violence begets violence but in this case Im going to make an exception.Im also now going to start a neighborhood crime watch and get the neighborhood involved in an awareness program.Thanks all!
 
Awwww thats crappy! My dog ate my phone(puppy) and I lost about 245 numbers....NOT fun AT ALL so I feel your pain.
