congrats to the members of the metro chapter that have been boted into office for this year. Best of luck to you and everybody now in office.

Why do you sound bitter? Maybe Sandy decided it was time to join the chapter. If you basicly started the chapter you should be happy to see members joining it right? It is open to all members in the area so the more the better. So are you going to still be a member of the chapter?

I cannot get away with anything!
I just saw this for the 1st time, 4 days after the event!

For the past 2 Summers, I have been dealing with a (minor) yet troublesome health problem, that is basicly a side effect from several drugs. This has kept me away from car shows, and any type of activity where long standing or walking is involved. Sadly, hikes and car shows fall into this catagory. Therefore I have stayed away. I think you'd be more peeved if I came & left in 40 minutes.
Anyhow, strangly, and for no explanable reason, so far I am much better this year - or since like last October. I am pretty sure heat (Read: June thru September) has alot to do with it.

Okay? I have explained. I am there, however, in spirit..'Ya a Dodge Spirit! (Eeeek Yuk) :(

Glad to hear that you are doing better. no need to explain your reasons for not attending shows. Heck we all have reasons for not being able to attend things. I for one will be able to only attend a few shows/gatherings for various reasons. So if Ray didn't start the chapter why is he taking credit for it? Sandy you can always take a chair along to the meets if needed. Don't know if that would help you out at all, but just a though. Are you able to attend the show at carlise?

I cannot tell about Carlisle until we get into the hot weather. Take a chair? NEVER! Leave that right over there with the cane & walker & LeSabre!! (None of which do I have) :)

I thought that Petey started the NY chapter, No????

Come on Sandy I have a nice folding double Bud Light chair that also has a cooler in the middle I'll take to Carlise and share it with you :) I understand what your saying about the chair thing and I don't blame you at all. I also thought Petey started the chapter, but I wasn't around when it first started up.

Petey definately did - but then kinda lost interest in it, and active membership was slow to come. Many had alot of spirit, like Steve and a few others, but more was needed, I guess. They did have a couple of good meets however.

I am a bad boy, and have no $$$. All of those cars are, in fact, cardboard cut-outs!!

If I ever won the lottery....then you'd REALLY see some cars!!
(But probably not many to many of your liking...)

I just looked up the VW Phaeton. Looks nice and sounds nice, but for $85,000 I think I could find a different car to spend that money on. I love McLaren Mustangs and hope to own one someday. So how about Carlise Sandy? This will be my first year there.

the starting the chapter was mostly done by ray, he did alot of the legwork, and on the tailend on the project of starting the chapter i jumped in, helped ray, and got a few more people in and got it done with ray. I was the first president, but ray had a big part in starting the Ny chapter.
