If I understand this correctly, I need to buy control arms for a t-bird since my mark has been converted to coil suspension? Are they hard to change? I really don't want to pay for labor too if I can change them myself.
you can buy mark VIII or t-bird arms, but since you do have coils, the t-bird arms will be cheaper. they are not very difficult to change, but make sure if you do it yourself you immediately get an alignment after you are done or you'll be putting tires on it too.
No you don't take off the spring man! The spring stays in the strut. You don't even have to remove the strut if you're just doing the uppers.

Basically, you'll need an 18MM wrench and an impact gun (or buff arms) with a 14MM(?) socket.
