Cutout Questions

For those who have a cutout(s) installed on their mark....

What size would I need to get to place directly AFTER the cat????

Also, any noticeable gains in power? Difference in track times???

By any chance, did you see any 1/4 time differences w/ the cutout?

Ive been told ( by ponyfreak) that a normal exaust system would work better then the cutout.

I just dunno, I dont want to spend $$$$$$$$$$$$$ on an exaust setup.

Stock is too restrictive up top and wide open loses low end. I played around with a couple of different cutout caps with various holes drilled in them and found that three 1/2" holes (or one 7/8" hole if you have the means) gave the best performance without drone on the highway. It was a solid tenth better than wide open. This was also with 3" pipe in place of the stock 2.25" and no 3rd cat so your results may vary :)
