Cyliner # 5 misfire

Which cylinder is #5? I have a misfire and Auto Zone said it was #5. I replaced all the spark plugs but the misfire continues.

You're lucky...it's the first plug on front of the passenger side.

All 90's Continentals were FWD. Cylinder #5 would be passenger side front.

It is my understanding Ford uses a standard cylinder numbering scheme which would be:

4 8
3 7
2 6
1 5 For RWD

1 2 3 4
5 6 7 8 for FWD.

Hey there! I saw the diagram of the 5.0 with a distributor you posted earlier! I was wondering what you were thinking. :wink:

Changing spark plugs usually won't fix a misfire....you either have a bad coil/wire or boot/bad injector.
