Hey guy's and gal's ,gotta big problem after 16 or more hours I come out of work battery almost dead(won't start) and brake fluid under the front bumper . It has happened 4 times over a three month period and at no time I can figure out what I did or happened to cause it. Im pretty sure the battery is good it takes alot of amps to charge and all night to get a full charge and have to add brake fluid to make the brake light go out.

This may very well be related to the new recall that's out.

The cruise control brake pressure cut-out switch is always hot. The switch goes bad starting to allow brake fluid into the contact assembly. This in turn creates a fire hazard.

My advice would be to disconnect the suspected switch. This of course will not prevent fluid from leaking. Supposedly parts for the recall will not be available until the 4th quarter of '07.

I would investigate and if this is confirmed, I would disconnect the switch and plead your case with the local dealer.

I just came in from the driveway ,my lic was on the batt. charger ,I heard a slight buzzing sound from under the battery so I figures it might be the anti lock motor so I removed the motor fuse and it quit buzzing and the battery draw quit. Thanks for the heads up on the recall I didn't think about that I'll call.

Well I got a little time to work on the beast. It hasn't leaked since I pulled the antilock pump fuse,I suspect I have a brake fluid leak close to the antilock pump or a sensor. Should the antilock pump be powered while the car is off? The dealer said the recall has nothing to do with the antilock pump
