Just thought i would pass down this helpful tip to you 2ndGen Mark 8 drivers that can't stand to see the lenses cloudy/dirty/fogging over. I thought i would have to replace the headlight units because i thought it was all on the inside of lenses. When i took a closer look and rubbed my fingers over the surface i realized it was on the outside. I thought of a money saving remedy to fix this problem. I used fine grit sandpaper and wet sanded the lenses. It took some elbow grease and a watchful eye so that i wouldn't sand the paint. I wet sanded the lenses until they lost that rough exterior. After i wiped away the water they became hazed. Thats okay. The next step i took was a trip to autozone. I purchased "Bluemagic" it is a plastic and plexiglass cleaner that removes light scratches. Apply that with a pad you would use to wax the car with. Let that set until dried. Wipe off with a terry cloth. Than wax the lenses with car wax until the haze has dissappeard. I used a power buffer to. The results where terrific. The lenses had been restored. You will notice a difference how bright the light shines on the road too. The cleaner the lense the better chance the HID's will shine through. Hope this was helpful.
