my window slows to a crawl about 1/2 way down and then speeds up to normal after that. what gives? Can I lube the track or somthing?

That is where I would start. With the door panel off you can get a better idea of what or where it is binding up.

dont bother, its not a matter of dry or lubed, its the felt guide on the back of the window towards the rear of the car, take the door panel off, down on the bottom left, near where the keyless entry pad plug is on the door , there is an 8 mm bolt, with a big washer, its black, the washer is about 1 1/4 in diameter, remove that bolt then reach inside the door and pull the bracket out, there are a few wires hooked to it so unhook them from it, you will see the felt guide is probably slid half way out of the track it sits in, you need to slide it back up all the way back into its track, over time they slip down and cause the window to bind about half way down, then it will bind again going back up, maybe this isnt your problem, but about 8 mark VIII's i have fixed in my shop for a screwed up window, this was always the problem, easy fix!

Thanks. I will try that. It's abit cold here, so when it warms up a bit, I will be out trying that for sure. I thought I saw a post that recommended you spray something in that channel to unbind it also. Cant find the post now.
