Engine misfire

Wife's '98 has a misfire and has been getting progressively worse over the last year. Now it bucks a bit, especially with the A/C turned on. Ever since I changed the plugs and boots a year ago it seemed to have a slight miss, now it's worse. No "check engine" lights or anything. Where should I start looking for the problem? Thanks.

Almost guaranteed to be a coil or boot. Do a scan for codes.

Now that it's getting warmer out you could pop the coil covers and fire it up for a night time view to see any arcing.

I'll bet on the boots or coils.... have codes read. It sees most all misfires even if it doesn't turn on your CEL.

I'll get the codes pulled. I'm betting it's a coil cause last year I changed the boots and plugs. I should get to it sometime next week and post results. Thanks for the help.
