extended wire oxygen sensors?

I'm about to put on headers and it doesn't look like the wires on my 02's are going to be long enough. So, where do i get them with longer wires?

RE: extended wire oxygen sensors?

Dave, I sent you an email about this before I read this post. I don't remember if i still have my extensions or if Joe has them. I can look when I get home if you like.

RE: extended wire oxygen sensors?

I would get the chip burned to turn the o2's off

I hope you're not talking about the front o2's ....

He has the rear ones already off.

exactly. You kinda need those front two...

I may just solder more wire on, but the sensors do have 92k on them now and i'm sure it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace them. Maybe i'll just hack up the harness for the rears and make an extension with the right connectors on both ends.

why is it that you need the front two and not the back, if that the case i might have to change my back one to the front, maybe thats why my check engine light is on, but why any ways

RE: extended wire oxygen sensors?

The computer uses the front two o2 sensors to determine a/f mixture and adjusts the fuel delivery accordingly. The rear two are just there to make sure the catalytic converters are functioning. When you gut or remove your cats you need to either shut off the back two or get o2 simulators to keep from getting a c/e light.
