finally in the new house!

well, we're officially in. got the internet and cable and phone hooked up today. moved all the car parts out of the old garage tonight and took down the shelving, still have to go back for a table, shipping boxes and tool box, then i'll never step foot in that house again. the new house is kind of a mess, lots of boxes scattered, need to be unpacked, but it already feels like home here. and how many of you can say this, me and my wife jumped in the pool tonight, dec 30th lol. the pool is 78 even at 11 pm. the pool has 2 solar panels on the roof for winter you can open a valve and divert the water up to the panels so it gets heated and dumped back into the pool. this is by far the nicest house i ever lived in, its a littlemore money then any of the others, but you get what you pay for, and i cant wait until summertime again the pool area is all screened in but the roof isnt screen like most lanai's here, its a metal roof so the sun doesnt beat down on the pool area and make it impossible to sit out there, no rain will get in there so even during a storm it will be nice to sit out there, plus there are two ceiling fans out in the pool area too, i got some lawn chairs out back, the grill, even a tv with cable and a radio. the plasma is sitting on the fire place for now cuz we had the cable put in today, we dont know if we want to hang the tv on the wall, or get a plasma stand for it, but we are finally gonna hook up the surround sound again, we hated the living room in the last house so we never bothered. the surround sound set up we have is retarded, but so awesome if you want to watch a good movie, its a 1000 watt denon 7+1 receiver, the surrounds consist of 7 infinity's , 4 are pictured below, and two 15 inch 800 watt velodyne subs, on each side of the couch ( double as end tables lol )
we went with verizon's new VIOS for tv and internet and both kick ass, very pleased so far. here are some pics, remember , we havent unpacked much yet, been a very long hectic last 4 days. i'm very happy about this house, i'm glad we held off on a few we looked at, because this one is sweet.

WE GOT LAZY AFTER THE MANY TRIPS BACK AND FORTH TODAY SO WE SHOVED THE LOADED TRUCK AND TRAILER IN THE GARAGE AND CALLED IT A NIGHT LOL. I'LL UNLOAD TOMORROW!

I love Florida. I used to go there all the time for work and vacations.

I'll be resuming my yearly vacation down there next winter. I've been threatening to visit you there for a while now, how's next February sound?:D
 
Jaime, I saw new house and wanted to congratulate you... but then all I saw was ...pool...pool...78... pool in December... pool and my good feelings kinda disappeared. ;)

I am glad it all worked out well for you. Florida seems very attractive... more attractive everyday compared to Kansas.

thanks everyone, bill, come on down anytime pal, bring your swim suite. the best part of the pool area is the fact that i can sit out there, and sip some beers. i havent had beer in a long time, mostly because there was no where to enjoy one. but now, with the grill out there and chairs, i think i'm going to enjoy many beers back there this summer!! its LONGGGGGGG overdue.

lol yes i was making this post in the picture !! its verizon FIOS too not VIOS lol. its the new fiberoptic crap. the back shot of the truck was all car parts in the bed, it was the last load we took. max, the rent is too much, its $1,600 a month, but, its worth every penny to live in a house like this, but then again, what the hell its only money! bud, i'm with you man this better be the last move for a while im so tired of putting my daughter through this moving crap, she doesnt complain, or seem to mind, but im just tired, i dont want to move again. martin that is my father in laws vette. you can like it all you want, i hate it, it ride's like a train and makes more noise then the forth of july!! happy new year to you guys too, its time to go make a dumpster run, pick up my nephew, come home and eat dinner, shower, then i'm putting down a couple of my brother in laws milwaukee's best, laugh it up, its free and ice cold and all i need after this move is a nice strong buzz. happy new year everyone!!!!!

call it goat piss lol. we just had our first home cooked meal, i made scrambled eggs from a box of 18 ( got left overs lol ) toast, pancakes, hash browns, bacon and sausage and some O.J
ahhhhhhhhh i am so stuffed, been up since 9 am and it was my first food today and its 9 pm now. i hate cooking supper after a day like today but i had to help the wifey, too many things to cook at once. now we're gonna hop in the pool again, its 81 in the pool right now, gotta love solar panels.
i finished the old house today, locked the door and left for good. im so glad thats done, no we can concentrate on unpacking this house and make it feel like home. i'll put up a few day time pics of the yard and house again. night time shots dont look so good. can you tell i'm finally a little happier anyway!!
 
1600 is the price of a nice 1 bedroom appartment here!!! that house would run 3000-3500 here easy.

Time I move to florida!!
 
Dammit....its 4 degs here :( If I had a pool it would be a Ice rink :D

I hope the weather holds out 3 more weeks I will be in Sanibel :D

Sweet place man! I like the pool and that stove. haha wheres the carpet? I know i know all the new houses are comming with hardwood floors and tile. Im an old school carpet lover. Tile to cold in morning.
I wanted a smoothtop stove too but they installed the el-cheapo electric. haha not that im a cook or anything, i just like the easy wipe up and clean when i do my famous breakfast of sizzlin bacon and eggs and english muffins...(im a professional messmaker) hmm im getting hungry...Congrats and have a beer for me!
 
i went to the store and bought the lemonade's and sparks for my brother in law and nephew and wife, i had a lemonade just because it had been so long, but i actually got Hornsby's hard cider for myself. i used to love those and havent had one since i lived up north almost 5 years now, so i got them instead. they actually got slammed down, way too smooth and too fast. i had my first buzz in probably a year, its been a long time. i used to drink quite a bit of beer, nearly a few every night after work, but once my daughter was born, i had no interest anymore. but now when i do put one down, i feel like i want to keep going until i get retarded. i can see a few sloppy summer nights here in my near future. i'm just thankful the move is all done!
