Let me first say this car is just sick. The whole package is just top notch. The engine runs great, it needs a few minutes to warm up but after that she is ready to go. I can say Jeremi has built one fine car. Everything has been very tastefully done. The whole engine compartment is pretty much perfection. There were a few minor cosmetic things I took care of like painting the intake tube black with a textured finish to match the valve cover finish. But overall it is very impressive.
The amount of power through out the entire RPM range is sweet. You don't have to bring it anywhere near redline to get this thing to haul ass, the amount of torque is great. Even if you don't press the has enough for it to down shift on the highway it still has enough torque to jump from 80 to 100 very fast. The exhaust may be too quiet for some people at idle but it's music to my ears. Once you get on it the exhaust screams and it sounds mean as hell.
The air suspension feels like a new car, the ride is very smooth and controlled. I will be putting on a larger rear sway bar on to control body roll. I may at some point put Koni's all the way around depending on how my friend Domenics car turns out. But that is probably the extent of suspension modifications
When I picked it up the interior was pretty much disgusting. It looked as if it had not ever been really deep cleaned. Once I cleaned up the interior (over 6 hours) it is looking very good. The seatbelts still need some scrubbing and the drivers’ seat is looking a bit tired in spots but overall you wouldn't think it had 115k on it. I am already planning on having all of the seats redone sometime soon.
The exterior of the car again is in very good shape for a 115k mile car. It has obviously had some paint work here and there, and if you get really close (think 2 inches) you can see it the work could have been better. There are a few small dents around the car but those will be popped out soon by a paintless dent removal service. But I have no complaints. I've already gone over the car with a clay bar and that really helped smooth everything out along with the three coats of NXT wax. Now the paint feels like glass. From a few feet away it looks like a new car to most people. I'm going to try to align the front fenders and hood a little better. The gap is a little bit uneven, but again, it's just the little bit of OCD in my personality showing. haha I wasn't sure how much I would like the color and the wheels but they have already grown on me. It is a very classy color with a slight metallic look to it. The 2003 cobra wheels are sweet looking, not as flashy as the Cobra R's. This isn't a bad thing at all; they are a very good fit for the cars appearance, especially since the color between the spokes compliments the paint color of the car.
I almost forgot to talk about the stereo. Just by going down the list of what brands are in the car you know it has to be decent. It has a JL audio 500/5 amplifier, alpine head unit, JL audio components, and a 12" Infinity Kappa Perfect sub. The sub is built into the rear deck. Jeremi used MDF to form the baffle over the factory sheet metal for a free air install. It looks like any air leaks were sealed with some dynamat. The whole top inside the car is covered with some cloth that looks 100% factory. The amplifier is mounted on an MDF board mounted vertical in the back of the trunk. It is a very clean and professional installation. At first I wasn't impressed at all with how it sounded, but I was confident some time tuning it would take care of this. There was a range from about 90Hz to 300Hz where it was completely dead, nearly zero response. I spent about 5 minutes making a few adjustments and it sounds much better, very full. I still need to spend more time refining it but it is much better. The infinity kappa sub performs like a ported sub in SPL and a sealed sub in response, it's very nice.
In the next week I'm going to flush all of the fluids aside from the rear end and brake fluid, change the blower belt, and take care of a few other details.
Summary: This car is bad ass and a work of art. Jeremi put a lot of time, thought, effort, and creativity into this car and it shows.
Jeremi, the car received MANY compliments and even more looks at the car show yesterday. I just figured I'd pass that on to you since it is what you built.
Here's a few pics of the exterior in case you guys missed it in the other thread.
Also, I just applied to for the vanity plate TORQU3, which I will be getting in "3 to 6 months", I hope it dosen't take that long!
(I have some garage space for rent, thats what the flyer and cars on the window are for)
