Florida Rumbling...

And why would the earthquake sensor people lie about this?
I doubt there are very many sensors in fl as we don't get earthquakes.

Let me preface this by saying I am the ultimate skeptic when it comes to claims of paranormal, UFOs, etc., but I am fascinated at the same time. This video claims to capture the rumblings on video. It's definitely creepy. With that said, it would be VERY easy to fake or modify the sound on this video, and different mics on difference cameras can distort sounds as well.

You can skip the narrator's conspiracy BS by moving it ahead to 1:30.

My first thought is that it sounds like a rocket engine. It is Florida after all, home of NASA. Pratt & Whitney has several rocket test stands in Florida, so that might explain the length of the sound.

In any case, I don't buy for a second that there's some of coverup. I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for it, whether it's jet fighter exercises or just mass hysteria in some cases. I think it's telling that so many people claim to have heard these things over long periods of time, but I only found this one video.

By the way, someone needs to tell these people to replace their smoke detector battery, jeez. :D

Lmao too the smoke detector!! I was thinking the same thing.

I'm not saying is a conspiracy but the USGS recognized it and explained it as distant lightning striking on stable ground a very long distance away......

...STRANGE SOUNDS BEING REPORTED ACROSS THE FLORIDA BIG BEND...

THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL REPORTS OF VERY STRANGE SOUNDS FROM THE WOODVILLE AREA SINCE ABOUT 645 PM EST. THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BELIEVES THIS PHENOMENON IS BEING CAUSED BY THUNDER FROM DISTANT LIGHTNING STROKES... BOUNCING OFF A VERY STABLE LAYER ABOVE THE GROUND. THIS IS CALLED DUCTING...AND CAN ALLOW SOUND TO TRAVEL UNUSUALLY LONG DISTANCES. THIS SOUND HAS BEEN MISTAKENLY ATTRIBUTED TO POSSIBLE TORNADOES...BUT WE AT THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WANT TO BE VERY CLEAR THAT THERE ARE NO TORNADOES ... AND NONE ARE EXPECTED

This shows the rumbling as it was heard an felt when it finally reached Mississippi.

The USGS chooses what to publish. This is a good video that shows the actual seismographs indicating the rumbling for 40 minutes.

Wow, thanks for that link J. After i got done posting a no rumbling the other day on other thread, i now am seeing this thread and your link. Just this morning close to 9-10 oclock, while on computer, I heard and felt big crashing boom. wasnt a rumble but more like a huge boulder was droped from the sky and shook the ground. Its been happening for the last year or so but im so close to the military base here that we assume there testing more of the bunker buster bombs they always do. and we feel the after shock waves propagating outwards to the civilian sections where we live. Ive always though about the detrimental effects caused to our concrete ranch house foundations over time from stress cracks. Some of them were actually enough to wake you out of a sound sleep and the bed is still shaking, but i blew it off thinking it was me having a nightmare or something, laughed, then rolled over and went back to sleep. they dont last long, but if those are actually mini earth quakes, then yes they have been happening now that i think back. I was always thinking they were blowing up more stuff over at General Dynamics Rock Hill test facility where i used to work. Everyone here locally thought it was the military blowing stuff up out there in the woods and making craters, but it was them under controlled tests and evaluations.
Ill keep an eye out now on that 3D link site. never really paid much attention to it, but according to the video, im right on a line that extends up the east coast of recent activity in the Florida Panhandle. hmmm

I tend to think it's the ducting as explained by the WX Service.

For conspiracy theorists I suggest looking up "TAOS HUM" on both Google and YouTube. I don't buy into that.

I also think the jet jockeys are up there getting proficient at what they have to do, plus the ground guys have to do the same. More power to them and I stand behind them all. Wish I lived near an Air Force Base or NASA facility, especially around airshow time. I'll take THIS rumble any day:

Naaa not jets, we know what those sound like. Its was more like loud quick underground explosions, like the bunker buster bombs. I think there drilling more tunnels with the big worm machine again for more underground thruways. Although, FL is not the best place id be drilling those, we dont have alot of bedrock here for structure and alot of underground springs could cause them big problems.
In that video, it sounds like a tornadoe, but you can almost hear the tinny steel to rock crunching noise like if you have ever walked alongside a big bulldozer at it tears up the earth and craushes rock. Now picture that underground server hundred feet and all you hear is a hollow echo. It even pauses for moments to let the cutting blades cool down or hydraulics recover it seems. Im want to stick a recorder probe in the ground and let it run for a week or so. This is strange.

I dont know if they are or not, but ill post a couple of pics when i dig hardrive up. Its a huge boring tunnelling machine used to drill straight though bedrock to make tunnel for two lane highway underground.
From the sounds in that video , thats the only thing that popped into my mind that could make that noise, unless somone had an out of controll turkey frier bunson burner at full throttle next to the window and that stupid smoke detector beeping. haha

Driving home from work today, we had a "wildfire" Everyone from FL State troopers, Sheriffs, Fire Dept and AF Fire Dept was on scene along highway with chopper in air. Bulldozers were strategicly placed in twos along the highway home and thick foglike smoke was all over the place. Pulled into driveway and paper ashes like burnt newspaper were all over the driveway in black cinders. Looks like they got it under controll now, but i can still hear the chopper flying around outside. Thats hella action around here in this little sleepy town.

Lol Jeff...I see I got you thinking. In the video, he mentions the tunnel drilling, but I haven't done any searching into that. I'm not a conspirorist (sp) but I just thought this video was interesting and it made me dig a bit. I like to live with an open mind but don't believe everything I read or hear. I just take things into consideration....like aliens (not Mexicans, lol)....I don't necessarily believe in them, but if we have a Battle: Los Angeles I won't be surprised.

Those large tunnel boring machines could explain it, but you'd think that it would have to be really close to the surface to be that loud. Also, the noise sounded FAR away, so I don't think a boring machine sound would travel that far.

When I lived in Rio Linda, which is by McClellan Air Force Base, I would always hear them test firing the jet engines. It sounded VERY similar (throttle up/down) but it would NOT shake the ground. From my house to the base where they test the engines was about 2 miles away (crow) and it was a faint rumbly noise, similar to the space shuttle taking off. Buffeting would be a good way to describe it. Like I said, no siesmograph activity though. And no stupid smoke detector beeps, lmao!

here it is....

here it is....

Check this bad boy out. Supposedly theres undergound highspeed underground tunnels from out in Nevada all way to Texas and up to Washington. Talk about an escape route...haha You know how fast you could get a maglev train going in there? Like a coil magnet around an iron nail. Just fling the boxcar across the United States with magnetic pulses firing one after the other attached to the walls, pushing it like a slippery eel.

while i was gone my brother was in Miami with his wife and son. he sent me updates about what was going on in Florida while i was gone. this is a copy of his message to me, he also felt some thing in Florida that was unexplainable.

"Dude,
Bill Haast died yesterday. He was 100 years old. King Cobras around the world let out a collective hiss when he passes away. I felt a disruption in the force but thought it was just a hunger pain. I guess I was wrong. He survived 172 snake bites in his life. His blood has saved 21 snake bite victims over the years. I am very sad. A part of our childhood is gone. RIP Bill."
