Flower Donations for Lee Head

The LOD Administration has elected to send flowers to Lee Head's memorial service.

If anyone would like to contribute additionally, please use the club PayPal account and note your payment is for the "Lee Head Memorial" in the memo.

Since the funeral is Friday - I'll have to order the flowers by Thursday morning (1/22) so please consider your gift within that time period.

Any monies collected in access of an appropriate memorial will be presented to his wife to defray expenses.

(Can someone post the instructions for using Pay Pal - I rarely use it.)

I cancelled my "membership" to PayPal, due to all of the scams coming to me looking like they came from PayPal, and related spam. I actually used P.P. 3 times in 2 years so it was not worth it to me. Is there another way? Such as mailing a check to you at your home?

If you're already a member of Pay Pal, just click the "send money" link and send your donation to lodclub@prodigy.net. Otherwise you will have to set-up a page for donations, which only takes a few minutes.

It's probably a good time to mention that you should NEVER enter your PIN# anywhere except the PayPal login page. And don't fall for the bogus emails from PayPal that take you to a fake login page. Throw them away and login to your PayPal account normally if you are curious about the validity of the email.

There are other banks being targeted now since a lot of people are doing their banking online so DON'T fall for those scams either.

Yes it should be noted that you should NEVER give any information to anyone who contacts you, that they don't already have. For example, if they call you at home and address you by name, give them your name and phone number, if they ask anything else tell them "i'm not giving that information to you." No bank or credit card company will ever contact you and request information over the phone or through email. Don't give the info out unless YOU are contacting THEM.

Oh yeah, and DON'T use the same login name and password to do your banking that you use for online forums!!! And use something different for each financial institution you visit via the web. If you're scared of forgetting, write it down! Just remember to use 128 bit encryption...

(that last part was a joke) :)
