flowmaster super 40s

Ok about a week ago I got the mufflers, and before that I had no mufflers just tips, I had got my xpipe put in in place of the 3rd cat & then today I put my super 40s on.. Huge disappointment they are so quiet my car sounds stock, and im not jokeing when I say stock even with the xpipe. I did have my stock tips put back on for more of a cleaner look. I cant feel any hp change..... just extreme silence, I dont know what to do
 
hp change? You're not going to get that with mufflers.

You have to get magnaflows.... or go with straight pipes and no mufflers.
 
Polished Stainless Steel MagnaFlow Wide Open Performance mufflers sound good, I have them on my '96 with a dual 2-1/2" and a single X-pipe.

I've never heard good results from anyone with a Mark VIII and Flowmasters.
 
yeah I Think Im gunna take them off , my friends lincoln ls sounded good with normal flowmaster on it I dont understand why my car sounds like it has a 4 banger in it.
 
i put flows on my 98 lsc onenight, less then 24 hours later i cut them off. flows sound like garbage on the mark VIII. i broke down and spent the money to have a custom exhaust shop do my entire exhaust from the front cats back, no 2rd cat, true dual 2.5 all the way with no x pipe, and dynomax bullets on the end with stock tips but the pipe in the stock tips has been cut out and bumped up larger to 2.5 to match the whole exhaust. i have a clip on youtube i'll put it in here for you.

Damn sounds really nice, mine doesn't crack like your flows did but its close,
your mark looks fresh,I might just have to copy you and get the same rims and tint. for sure the flows are come'n off , Im gunna go with no mufflers like before.
