Got rear ended on the interstate...

... at about 10-15 mph, thank goodness. Inattentive kid driving his Mom's Ford Windstar. He hit me dead square - license plate to license plate. The Mark suffered just one tiny scratch above the license plate pocket. I told him not to screw with the radio in stop-and-go traffic, and said that I would let him off the hook if he voted Republican in 2008. :)

Steve - If I was rear-ended by a kid in a Murcielago, well, that might be a different story! :p

Sharon - gotta teach the kid a lesson! :) Who knows, maybe he'll remember me as a "compassionate conservative" the next time he fills out a ballot?

LOL :7

Your lucky it didnt cause about $13K in damages like the last idiot who rear ended me while traveling 50Mph, when I was waiting for the light to turn green (dead stop). My car was in the shop for about 82 days.

The LS has an amazing chasis, knock on wood.

RE: Got rear ended on the interstate...

Good for you. Glad no one was injured. I got my Navigator reared by a C1500 Cargo Van that was doing 60 on I-75 and I was dead stopped in traffic. The driver was reading a book. I saw him coming for about a half a mile as I am always nervous about being stopped in traffic on the interstate. There was also infront of me a Large Low Boy trailer for Heavy equipment, I thought I would get hit and launch over the trailer and into the cab, so I started to pull onto the side of the road, but too late. I got launched 150 feet into the infield between the N & S lanes. State police witnessed the whole thing as they were on scene due to construction.
We drove both vehicles away, and no one got hurt, although I found my seat back all the way in the down position,so I wound up laying down trying to put my foot on the brakes to stop the truck. 90 days in the repair shop and $27,000.00 later I got it back and you could never tell it was hit. We all got to get lucky once in a while. I hope this doesn't mean I don't have a chance for the Mega Million Lottery. LOL :)

RE: Got rear ended on the interstate...

And I just touched (<2 mph) this kid in a Chevy Malibu with my Windstar, and he claimed $1000 on my insurance. All I could see was a 1.5" diameter dirt smudge on his car (My Windstar needed a bath). Guess Fords are pretty strong, and Chevy's suck. What else is new?
