I actually had FUN today at the shop.

I had a Guy call last week saying he is bringing by a Hemi that he wants us to hear, says it has a mild valvetrain noise. Well this is what shows up!

A 1958 392 Hemi on a stand!!! The Guy tells me it's going into a Nash Metropolitan !!!!!! This I have to see!

I took this shot of Chris firing it up with the mufflers on and all!! Sounded AMAZING!!! Except for the noise and the SMELL in the showroom that lasted for hours.

I think it's the valve seat depth issuue. It sounds like a solid cam motor when it gets warm. Has to come apart.

I just put a Denny's driveshaft in along with a Cobra pumpkin in this beauty.

Oh and thats a 502 getting a MONDO cam and new billet crank hanging on the engine stand. It's out of the 66' Chevelle that you can barely see in the pic. (Matt should like that one)

Haa man Walt still talks about "the ride" you took him for!! He says "Man tht Guy can't lift"!!! He was all shook up!! LMAO!!!!

I LOVE taking Walt on of my pattented "Ride's Of Death" in the SuperMark!! It's halarious!

His valve covers are broken. they have holes in them.

Nice pics. Wait until you see a Hilborn injected Hemi. The stacks and the "holy" valve covers make quite the conversation piece.

He is going to run that single four barrel setup on the Nash.
That CRAP Edlebrock carb too.
I'm trying to talk him into a different setup.​

What is funny about that is that the Tasca is faster then my car and the Super Mark,
and he didn't scare himself going full throttle taking me for a ride.
Maybe we are just a little "sicker" LOL
Probably cause the Tasca's power is smoother,
and Walt doesn't like going sideways.
I'd love to get him in the Chevelle.

It's a lot harder to scare yourself. I get uneasy riding with friends when they do stuff that i would do myself without worrying about. It's all about control, or at least the perception of control. If i'm riding shotgun, i don't know if you know WTF you're doing or not. If i'm driving, I at least think i know what i'm doing.

Your one of the 7. I like the way you drive. I never lift and I like then when someone else does the same and I can sit back and enjoy the show.

I agree Geno, Matt's one of the few I trust on the ride of death but that didn't prevent me from digging my fingernails into his dash

That's a shame about the wings... I wish I could've gotten one when I first ordered one, almost 3 years ago.
