Haha, in your face Bud!
Pics are at night, so bear with me. The 240sx was going pretty fast, lost his brakes and left 80 foot skid marks because he pulled the e-brake. Neon was t-boned and pushed into the ditch. 240 had 2 occupants, in which the passenger went to the hospital because he was in shock and was just staring into the distance. Neon had 2 occupants, 20ish y/o mom and a 2ish y/o baby boy. Thank God she was smart and had the baby seat in the MIDDLE. She complained of her ride side/back hurting, probably from the impact with the concole. Baby was alert and not crying, they went to the hospital with her parents. The driver of the 240 was complaining of chest pain from the seat belt.
When I showed up, there were 5 guys hovered around this poor girl, so I immediately made sure she wasn't hurt AND that she was SAFE. At first, it looked like they might have been preparing for a hit/run, but as I got there, they were making sure she and the baby were ok. Plus, after seeing the 240, it was obvious he wasn't going anywhere.
I was already on the phone with 911 when I left my driveway and saw the carnage. Anyways.....it was kinda cool because I was BS'n with the firefighters when the first CHP car showed up. It was the SGT in charge of the Cadet Hiring department, and she remembered me. I introduced myself, and the parents of the girl were telling her how helpful I had been. I than asked if I could help in anyway, and she had me directing traffic.
I guess I started my job early, haha. So....anyways....I took a TON of pictures, mainly for the people with the Neon, the guy in the 240 said he has Full Coverage, but visual proof of what happend is always best.
Here you go........
Driver of the 240...you can tell he was working on it all night. The thing had the SRDET Turbo swap and he was getting it ready for a car show tomorrow....shouldn't have been speeding bro.
Skid marks....
Not sure what this is, haha.
In this picture, you can see that the 240 actually went UNDER the Neon...notice how the lower portion of the rocker panel is pushed in...
Notice how the Neon's front of the hood hit the pole....she must have been slightly airborn and at a forward angle when she went in the ditch. CRAZY!
Firefighters cutting the battery......
