Happy Birthday Jesse :D

Lol Trixie!

So, there was an accident in next to my house last night! You guys wanna see?

Haha, I don't know! What does the Matrix have to do with my bday? I'm just trying to keep this going, haha!

I KNOW!!! I may have to start deleting posts here!!! Oh shoot....I don't work for Cal!!! Guess I'd better not do that...Sharon would fire me!!!

Haha, in your face Bud! :D

Pics are at night, so bear with me. The 240sx was going pretty fast, lost his brakes and left 80 foot skid marks because he pulled the e-brake. Neon was t-boned and pushed into the ditch. 240 had 2 occupants, in which the passenger went to the hospital because he was in shock and was just staring into the distance. Neon had 2 occupants, 20ish y/o mom and a 2ish y/o baby boy. Thank God she was smart and had the baby seat in the MIDDLE. She complained of her ride side/back hurting, probably from the impact with the concole. Baby was alert and not crying, they went to the hospital with her parents. The driver of the 240 was complaining of chest pain from the seat belt.

When I showed up, there were 5 guys hovered around this poor girl, so I immediately made sure she wasn't hurt AND that she was SAFE. At first, it looked like they might have been preparing for a hit/run, but as I got there, they were making sure she and the baby were ok. Plus, after seeing the 240, it was obvious he wasn't going anywhere.

I was already on the phone with 911 when I left my driveway and saw the carnage. Anyways.....it was kinda cool because I was BS'n with the firefighters when the first CHP car showed up. It was the SGT in charge of the Cadet Hiring department, and she remembered me. I introduced myself, and the parents of the girl were telling her how helpful I had been. I than asked if I could help in anyway, and she had me directing traffic. :D I guess I started my job early, haha. So....anyways....I took a TON of pictures, mainly for the people with the Neon, the guy in the 240 said he has Full Coverage, but visual proof of what happend is always best.

Here you go........

Driver of the 240...you can tell he was working on it all night. The thing had the SRDET Turbo swap and he was getting it ready for a car show tomorrow....shouldn't have been speeding bro.

Not sure what this is, haha.

In this picture, you can see that the 240 actually went UNDER the Neon...notice how the lower portion of the rocker panel is pushed in...
Accident011.jpg

Notice how the Neon's front of the hood hit the pole....she must have been slightly airborn and at a forward angle when she went in the ditch. CRAZY!

Wow, what a shame. Glad everyone was able to walk away from it though.

Interesting how you can figure out what happened from the damage.

Ok.. two totalled cars... what was the speed limit on that road?

That 240sx is a SHAME that is one clean looking engine!! Looks like he has decent wheels on it too.

In this pic the devil is getting out of the car... creepy

The speed limit was 45 mph. See pic above. ;)

Is that how old J is?{superfluous comment for content relative to thread} LOL

So how long has it been since your birthday, Jesse? And most importantly, are you still celebrating?

Yeah, it was crazy, a LOT of damage. The speed limit is 45mph, but a witness said he was hauling butt, so I'm guessing he was still doing atleast 40 when he hit.

I talked to the parents of the girl/baby, and the dad said she was pretty sore. They went to the hospital that night and they found no broken bones or internal bleeding. He said she did see the guy coming at the last minute and realized he wasn't going to stop, so I'm sure she tensed up quite a bit.

Haven't had any contact with the driver of the 240 yet, but I just emailed him the pics.

Max, that is wierd that the girls eyes are red, but she had glasses on. She was pretty pissed off, but more in shock. That was the baby in her arms.

Here are the skid marks during the day....

I've been SUPER busy this weekend, and today. Haven't had a break at all. :(

Today my CHP buddy drove 2 1/2 hours to have me do a ton of work on his 92 Bronco 5.8L 4X4 with a 4" lift. I did headers(3 broken bolts(originals 1st time out), yeppie!), rear drive shaft rebuild(needed u-joints and new CV section), rear 4" lift shocks, radius arm bushings, oil change, transmission flush, full custom exhaust, and front rotors/pads/repack bearings. He paid me $27....a dollar for each year of my age(to stay on topic, haha).

Tomorrow we're running to the exhaust shop, than to the tire shop to get his 36's rotated from rim/rim and balanced, than to Macy's where he's going to show me where to get my boots polished, and than to the trans shop to do a trans flush with Mercon 5.......I'm exhausted. :(

Sharon, well...its been 3 weeks, and YEP, I'm still celebrating. Craig(CHP pal) took me to TGI Fridays tonight after all the work and he bought me a huge dinner and I had some Corona's. It was fun. :D

Did you guys have a DD :D!?!

lol Wow those skid marks look pretty bad during the day... the guy obviously doesn't have abs... could have probably saved the day and helped him stay in control of the car. You said he pulled the hand brake? What kind of idea is that?!

Some of the new technologies in cars are useful.
