Headling question

Hi everyone,
I have 2 questions regarding the gen 1 headlights.
1. My right side headlight is dim compared to the left one. I have new bulbs, had the len's resurfaced, chrome reflector inside is good, whats up with this.

2. Has anyone converted the gen 1 headlights to the aftermarket HID, I am just so tired of not being able to see at night. I have almost made the Mark just a daytime driver only. I don't see how the car passed the government regulations when it was new. If so how has it worked out for you, need some advice, I am strongly considering converting them.

On a side note, car is running great after the VCLM meltdown.

the best improvment you can make as long as the headlights are in good shape, is stick a set of 9005 based hid's inside them. i have done hid conversions to all my 1st gens over the years with the exception of one of them that had true lsc housings on it. its night and day difference putting hid's inside the housings, but they wont help you at all if the insides of the housings are trashed.
