Heartburn Problem

The EGD i just had my throat hurt for about 3 days. Thursday i go for hernia surgery, got the hernia do to my last surgery. At that time i was on the table for almost 7 hours, i had no voice for 2 months due to the breathing tube damaging my vocal cords. Not looking forward to Thursday even though the Dr said should be no more then 1.5 hours. :frown:

Last time I got an EGD (Back in 2008) my throat hurt for weeks.

I would not get surgery after all that.

Just got the pills. Cost $250 with my work insurance. dang
But Im still on my dads. Pills cost me $30

Well that explains the attitude. :p I hate doctors! :( Good luck with everything dude!
 
Oh boy what a night. Is so much pain all night and my friend called said she wrecked her car around 3am. So pissed.
 
How is the friend?

Is that new medication not doing the trick?
 
I trust you have consulted with your doctor about this reaction? It seems important. Either your medication is reacting incorrectly, or you have been misdiagnosed. Either way, it sounds like further consultation is required.

i am stuck in the hospital :( i went in yesterday morning hoping to go home last night or today. i got an abdominal hernia as a result of the surgery i had just under 2 1/2 years ago.

Well this was going to be a simple lathroscopic surgery to repair the hernia. When they got in there they found that my small intestine had adhered to and got tangled in the scar tissue and hernia.:eek: I did have a few attack pains over the last 6 months. Surgeon said that the adhering could have caused a blockage at times.

So they had to cut me open again the repair could not be done lathroscopic, they had to resection about 3" on the small intestine and that takes longer to heal the the large one. I am stuck here until at least monday and no food. Not allowed to eat for a few days, only a few ice chips. thank god they took the tube out of my nose today that went down my throat, that sucked

I can get 2 mg of morphine every 2 hours if i wanted. told them no, i get about 1 mg every 4 hours.

no heavy lifting for at least 4 weeks. :(

that sucks because the battery just went in the vette and now i can't lift it in. i got a new one but was not able to get it before i came to the hospital. i dropped the special nut down in the battery tray drain and now it is on the bottom by the passenger wheel. so i have to remove that plastic piece to retrieve it and it is on the side of the garage that is against the wall :frown:

thanks guys. doing better today, got to clean up and walk around a bit. still not allowed to eat, maybe monday they will let me. i need to fart first too, i never had an issue braking wind before but now it fails me :fart
 
well made some progress, broke wind last night and dropped the kids off at the pool early this morning. Had a liquid breakfast and lunch, and should get something with some substance later. IV is out but still have the needle in me. I hope to get out of here today, got my fingers crossed, just have to wait for the surgeon to give the ok. :fart
 
somehow, "Liquid breakfast and lunch" likely wasn't what I was thinking..

Still, it sounds like you're on the mend, and I'm glad to hear it.

HAHA.
I need like alot of help. Dont think its heartburn anymore.
More like stress and anxiety. Cant sleep at night and have alot on my mind (like women, moeny and want a new job).

May need to talk to someone about it all.
Really dont want to take any pills for it.

they have pills for anxiety just don't get hooked, not sleeping is bad as well, hope the Drs get to the bottom of the issue.
