Evening gents, (and ladies) I have a question I am hoping you fellows can help me with. my heater fan has a mind of its own, turning on and off speratically, and not when i need it. it just up nd quit today while i was driving and the windsheild fogged pretty fast! I am assuming this is a relay problem, and any advise or help you folks can give will really be appreciated. thank you in advance . Chris

Often times the wire connector to the blower motor gets loose, corroded, or burned. I'd open the glove box, drop it down and unplug and inspect the plug. If it looks OK, I'd clean it and plug it back in.

Off to the HVAC section.:)

Thank you for the spot on advice! I cleaned the plug with electronics cleaner, but the plug is burnt....it is in a state of almost fixed...i poke it with my snow brush while driving when it cuts out lol. what is the best way to replace the plug? does it work like a fusable link, and disconnect from the heater fan? Once again thank you in advance for any info you can give me. Chris

before I found a factory replacement I bought 2 10ga female spade terminals (yellow) cut off the original plug and used them instead(keep track of which is which or the fan will run backwards!!)the factory plugs are difficult to get to stay tight once heat damaged a loose connection WILL damage the blower motor.hope this helps!!(just went through this w/moms 94')

Look here for more details.

If it is in a total state of disrepair, you should be able to get replacement terminals at most parts stores, parts counters at dealers or here.
