Long time since I've been here. Can you believe the mark is still running strong. It's a damn beast. For all those who don't know I had a hell of a time with the mark after I first bought her. Replaced 2 alternators, the ENTIRE suspension and air pump, but now she's running great. I still havent found the front suspension bumb she makes when she backs out of the driveway or when I hit the brakes, but after replacing everything possible I've given up.

Anyway, hope everyone here is doing ok. I think I'm going to get the blued out tint off my car tomarrow and put on some new tint as I can no longer look out through the back window.

Just today my sister asked to use my mom's car and since I wasn't going anywhere I offered her mine. You shoulda seen her eyes light up...

Just wanted to stop in and say hi to everyone.

RE: Hello alll..

be careful pulling that tint off. It's pretty easy to mess up the defroster lines when you're cleaning off the adhesive. Stay away from the razor blades.

No, you should totally be stranger... just post more often :D

Did you ever replace the strut rod bushings?

One item I haven't seen mentioned...steering rack. I had my front end completely rebuilt, and still had a clunking sound. I took my car to a shop. Clunk disappeared. I called and asked what they did. They tightened up the steering rack. Oila! Check it out.

This is what I've been suspecting.

And yes I did replace the lower control rod bushings along with the lower control arms.

I think I'll pay a shop to do the tint since it's so old. It'd be better to pay someone to go through the hastle than to mess with that 10 year old tint.

RE: Hello alll..

Did you do the sway bar links? That simple part makes ALOT of noise when it goes bad....

Those were the first things replaced. I really think it's the steering shaft. The clunk will happen when I go around a corner, stop quickly, or really anytime the front end has to dive. I could be doing a u-turn under the freeway and it will clunk.

queestion: Could it be ujoints? It doesn't make the clack/clicking sound of u-joints. It's a definite CLUNK. Just a thought....
