Hello people, i have not been around here in a while

I have not been around here for a few months and things changed around here with the forum.

I have been a bit busy with life. After my grandfather passed away in October my mother moved in with my grandmother in the down stairs apartment so I was fixing things up down there and then also in my apartment upstairs. Then Christmas night the under cabinet water filter we installed downstairs had a ¼” plastic hose come off the compression fitting off the sink line and flooded the first floor, basement, and the garage under the house. So I have been fixing things up there due to the damage and dealing with the insurance company.

Then I had a panic attack on Halloween night where I thought my throat was closing up, I could not breathe and went to the ER. That eventually lead to a sleep study and I found out I had sleep apnea where I stop breathing 43 times an hour on average during the night. So I was sent to the ear nose and throat Dr, were he told me I had a very narrow airway. He said my tonsils were huge and my uvula was large. In addition I had a deviated septum from when I got hit a fast ball when I was 16 y/o playing baseball.

So about 2 1/2 weeks ago I had triple play surgery to remove the tonsils, uvula, and repair my septum. This is so I would not have to wear one of those pressure mask when I sleep.
So far every thing is going well and I have been sleeping well for the past few nights. I go for another study in 10 weeks to see if a mask will still be needed. The best part of the surgery was I lost 12 lb the first week. I gained about 4 back since I stared eating again. :D

My mark VIII is still going strong with a 127k, I also hope to stop by Carlisle this year. :)

Thanks for checking in steve. You really dropped of the face of the earth in the past couple of months or so :)

glad everything is going well
I went through the same thing with the plastic hose,
mine had a little pin hole and was leaking into the garage
causing a piece of the ceiling to come down on the Mark,
lucky it just hit the rear bumper and just required a repaint.
I have since replaced the plastic tubing with copper

Oh Jesus, fun and games with Sleep Apnea. I have that, was diagnosed 12 years ago and I've been sleeping with the machine ever since. I'm so used to it I don't even think twice about it, sleep like a baby with it.
