well, i just found a 97 lsc, charcoal with light grey, moonroof, octagone rims, 32k miles 10 disc cd, factory phone... listing states the guy's father passed away and i guess the property the car is stored at is going to be put up for sale.. anyway, the pics are lousy of the car.. he took them while the car is in the garage and only shows the top view of the motor, a pic of the interior from the passenger side, and one of the rear of the car.... its got about 4 inches of dust on it... sorry, not giving up the thread on it just yet :cool: ... reason being, its listed for 4500 bucks.... what do ya guys think? 2 good 2 b true? i know seeing is beliving but im @ 250 miles from it one way... might just have to take a trip......:eek:
 
get the vin and run a car fax and ask for better photos before you make the 500 mile round trip.
 
It is what it is. Yeah the Mark is a great cool car but it is still a Lincoln and who generelly buys Lincolns?...........old people. Now this is how you want to score a Mark 8!. A year and a half ago I bought my wifes '98 from a recently deceased old lady for only $5k with only 16k originaly miles. Car now has 30k and has been relatively problem free. Ask for more pics then go get her. If you decide you wont then it would be nice of you to disclose said cars location so another member may be able to get it.
 
i'd love to grab this car but the guy only got back to me via email one time... basicly, i asked him if he was interested in a trade plus cash but if not, i would buy it anyway. his reply was NO TRADES!!! AMERICAN CASH ONLY!!.... thats word for word... i than asked for the vin # so i could run a carfax and gave hime my phone # asking him to call me so i could get the address of exaclty where this is... this all took place on saturday evening... no reply since.... wtf! im startin to think its a setup... cant put anything past anybody nowadays.... i wish he would get back to me... i dont want to think negative on this but why would you ignore a buyer willing to come asap and buy a car you want to sell? kinda wierd.... anyways, ill keep ya posted on the what seems to b, a shady listing....
 
because they probably sold it and dont want to let you know, i went through the same crap with a real 96 lsc i found here in florida with front end damage from smackin a deer, price was 1300, i asked what his bottom line was, he wrote back and said 800 cash its yours, i wrote back and asked for his address so i could mapquest it and get going, i had a truck and trailer waiting for my call, never heard back from the guy, he fell off the earth, i even had an extra 100 bucks to give him because i felt bad even asking if he would take less. i wrote back to him and said look if you sold it just tell me so i stop bugging you, couldnt even answer me for that either.
 
yeah, it would b nice if he would just let me know if its sold or not... guess it takes 2 much effort to hit a few keys... cant stand people like that...

go figure, as soon as i post the link i go back to it and it says no longer active..... unreal...... well, ill keep huntin @... somethin will pop up somewhere....
 
i got a email today from the guy, car is sold..... claims he emailed me 3 times and never got a response... yeah right, thats total bs... why wouldnt he pick up the phone and call me? i mean, i only left my # 3 times.... guess it wasnt ment to b...
