HID replacement?

I'm looking for some of your thoughts. Several here have a much better understanding of the HID issue. Ford will soon offer a complete headlight replacement for gen2 -- to halegen If you go this way does it offer a easier upgrade path to upgrade back to HID? Never seen that product before... There are some decent HID kits on ebay for right around $300, from what I hear they work well.

That's a new one. Looks like the cheapst option cost about $550. Not bad if they are in fact custom projectors.

Cheaper than the new Gen II kit from Ford.

I really don't see how that would fit in there though, there just isn't much room. I would have to see a pic of it installed to believe it.
