High Intensity Lighting for 1996 Mark Viii

Can anyone tell me where I can buy the high Intesity lighting housing kits for my 1996 Lincioln Mark VIII? I want to replace the standard lighting housings that are currentley on the vehicle.

Hey, welcome to the board, well, there are a few places, usually you can find vendors and ask them in the vendor forum. I would contact 5 star fords if I were you. Again, since the vendor forum is still new, I don’t know if they have contact information there yet or not.

I have a passenger side HID assembly complete with ballast and bulb in the ForSale section.

Might be worth a call to Dennis Reinhardt as well, I'm not sure if he has any in stock, but he can sometimes do better then the Ford parts guys can.

Oh, and by the way... HIDs RULE!

Yes yes, 2nd Gens Owners read this with laughter on their faces, we truly feel bad for you guys. Every time I lineup next to a first Gen, I Thank God for Xenon Gases, and pray for the person driving it at night.

My Mark Does high 14's stock. Thank God I dont own one of those Slow Gen 2's :)

Has anyone on these forums actually considered aftermarket HIDs? I just cant imagine paying almost $500, for each side, plus shipping.

In addition to the ballast, and bulbs the lenses are also needed and are included in that $500 price. A big problem with fist gen lighting is the lenses themselves. They are not clear, they get hazy and the reflective material gets burnt. The HID lenses are clear.

O ok, much more understandable then. I already have the HIDs in my 93, but I would definately love to have those new lenses, especially being the fact that mine are that famous Ford Yellow/Brown. =(

Are you sure you have HIDs? Those lenses don't normally turn yellow/brown.

I think he meant HID bulb/ballast kit in original housings.

Yes that is correct. I have the aftermarket 8000K HID bulbs and ballasts in the factory lenses (unfortunately)
