HOOD ADJUSTMENT ???

[LM 97 MK 8]

I have the 2 factory manuals for my 97 Mark. I can find nothing on hood adjustment.

I have a larger gap on the drivers side than on the passenger side when I close my hood. The gap between the hood and quarter panels is what I am talking about.

I have moved the striker and the latch assembly, but no go.

Any ideas? And yes I am anal. My wife just shakes her head and walks away.

I believe the hinge mounts are slotted for adjustment. Forward or back will affect left to right also.

How did it come out of adjustment?

The hood was fine until 2 days ago!!!

I'm the only one who touches that hood. Even when I have the oil changed, I personally open & close the hood.
