Comments: I still visit this page frequently. I like viewing the guestbook to see what owners have to say about their cars. Please visit my web page. You might want to join our club for Mark VIII's.

I still am enthusiastic as ever about my 98 LSC Collector's Edition.

Thank you.

AAAhhhhhhh.the good ol' days.

LOL

That stuff is great!

RE: How did you hear about this site?

I found the old site through aol search. I was trying to decide between the Mark VIII, Elderado or SC400. I'm soooo glad I got a Mark.

I was looking at the same 3 cars as well when I got my Mark. The Elderado was FWD, and the Mark just looked way better then the SC400.

On the side of the Goodyear Blimp......

On the side of the Goodyear Blimp......

Well I was gonna say I saw it on the side of the Goodyear Blimp during the Super Bowl five years ago but Rex "ratted me out" (LOL).

Actually, Rex's site was THE only Mark VIII site period way back then. A few of us got together on an old but now defunk "LSC" board which was primarly a Mark VII board and shared our Mark VIII pride and troubles.

One of our original members, "Carcus", had a '93 mark VIII and decided to start a Mark VIII board. Later he got rid of his Mark VIII and got a Z-28 and incorporated it into the board. Now that was a strange combination with Mark VIII's and Camaro Z-28's. Eventually, Alexander and Kale did a website for Mark VIII's only and we've grown from about a dozen folks to this today.

Of course we've had about four five diffferent versions of software and because of events like the All-Ford Show at Carlisle and some regional meets out west, many of us have had a chance to meet and share the friendship in person we've developed through the web.

Many thanks to all those who stuck it out and kept it going through thick and thin. It's been a wild roller coaster ride at times but a great time for many people in helping to better understand our Mark VIII's.

Comments: I just bought a 1998 Mark VIII LSC Collector's Edition. It is Collector's Edition serial number 1144. It was was built June 12 1998. It is probably one of the last Mark VIII's built. It is unfortunate that this great car is no longer in production.

This is my first new car. This is the best car I have ever driven. Performance and road handling are impressive. My first car(bought used), which I still have is 1959 T-Bird which was also assembled in the same Wixom, Michigan plant where my Mark was built. T-Bird and Lincolns were assembled in the same plant starting in 1958 since they shared unibody construction.

I am thrilled that there is a site dedicated to the Mark VIII. I would like to know what is available to improve performance and appearance on these near perfect cars. Is there a club dedicated to these cars?

Comments: I recently acquired a 93 Mark VIII and am interested in subtle but effective mods. I really would like to give it a meaner stance but don't want to mess up the ride quality. I would like to see a stock suspended car with a 17-inch 50 or 55 series tire, or an 18-in 40/45 series. Does anyone out there have pics they could send me? Somebody please help!

There several of the long standing members here with posts on the guest book....

Those were the good old days. It was a time when a few Mark VIII enthusiasts found each other and decided to start a club. There were no fights and everyone tried to help each other. sigh

Donn't worry Alexander, 99% of the membership is still the same as before, there are only a couple of troublemakers with ulterior motives.

RE: How did you hear about this site?

Hello everyone!

I was told about this site by a member here, XLRVIII, Tommy Douglas. I am looking forward to reading everything and getting to know the members and I definitely have been admiring the rides.

I am the proud owner of a 1995 MarkVIII since August of 2002. My husband bought the car as a surprise for me. I love my car and have enjoyed every minute I am behind the wheel. :)
