How do i turn off air ride system?

The guy i bought my car from had the spring coils installed but the air ride is still enabled and wasting power. I can hear the compressor turn on and i think its filling the rear bags.
Is there a fuse or something i can pull to completely disable the system?

If you have air bags in the rear then you need to keep the air ride working. Now, if you had coils all round then you could disconnect power or remove the compressor entirely. Do not turn off the switch in the trunk - your variable assist steering (EVO) will be affected and put you in full assist mode. (not good on highway)

in the trunk on the left side, there will be a little panel you can open which has a switch to turn off the air ride.

i have the entire suspension converted so i just need to know what to do to completely disable the air ride. turning the switch off does nothing, only gives me the air ride swicth is off error.

Read this post and go down to where I posted TWO pictures..... Cut the wire pointed out in the SECOND PICTURE......this will remove the "air compressor" warning.

Read the thread carefully, I gave full instructions.

ok im a bit confused. you said to CUT THE DARK GREEN w/LIGHT GREEN STRIPE WIRE THAT IS CONNECTED TO THE LIGHT GRAY CONNECTOR
but in the pic you have a grey wire with green stripe cut?? then you go on to say DO DO DO cut THIS wire where you have an arrow pointed on the dark green wire??
i dont mean to question your advice but i just want to make sure i cut the right one..its the grey one with the light green stripe correct?

Lol....I know its confusing, but I had to include both pictures because of others' faulty advise.

Notice at the top of the first picture I say DO NOT cut this wire, and on the top of this picture I say DO DO DO cut THIS wire?

Its the DARK GREEN with a LIGHT GREEN STRIPE, which is located in the #2 spot on the light gray connector. Do this..........

Get a flash light, remove the passenger kick panel, and lay on your back and look up under the dash on the passenger side and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. VERY easy to reach....shoot, I don't even think I laid on my back when I did it last time.

Cut the dark green wire with the light green stripe. (its pin #12 on back row of the gray connector)

If unsure to which this is, the wires either side of it are brown with a pink stripe and orange with a blue stripe.

lol awesome guys thanks for clearing that up :)
what was confusing me was the CUT THAT WIRE text on the pic..regardless of the fact you clearly stated not to lol

omg dude, i went in the panel just now to cut it and the wire has already been cut! wtf do i do now lol!

Now you're done...MAKE SURE you LEAVE the air ride switch ON. The compressor will not run...ever. :)

When I did the Gen 2 conversion, the pump never ran again after I disconnected everything. Are you 100% positive the pump is running? Even if it did run, it should only run for 20 seconds or so before erroring out and shutting off.

how are you hearing the rear bags click if you said the car has been converted to coils all the way around??? the springs cant click!!! just shut the switch off in the trunk, or, take the passenger side front tire off, pull the plastic liner out of the wheel well, and reach in to the compressor and unplug it, i cant see how the compressor would still come on unless all 3 of your height sensors are still hooked up, but even then, if they were, and the compressor kicks on but sense's the car isnt airing up, you would get a fault message on the center screen.

Its a 94, Budpytko - thats what made me think rear shock actuators. (assuming he is still on the original shocks) Either those making noise and / or.... the antenna motor!
Lol.
