vehicle has salvage title. vehicle is from maine and was hit on the front passenger side back in 98. after installing cobra intake i realized that the hood will never close with that intake due to being in accident and the front end just isnt where it should be. hood is sitting squarely on top of the fins surrounding the intake plaque. the only place i trust to fiberglass a 4in cowl on hood wants around 2000 dollars.
so im realy at a cross roads. build a new motor and get a new hood or just sell it for what i can get and put towards maybe a terminator idk. dont know if its time to part with it or go all the way and build it right. its my first car and have owned it for 4 yrs now. love the way it looks, its different from any other car on the road and has a dohc 4.6 that begs for a power adder. im looking at a bare 04 cobra block for 300 dollars tomorrow to build for this car.
i work as a mechanic at a ford dealership and eat lunch with the only svt tech we have. he offered to help build a motor for it if i want.
any advice, suggestions, and info is greatly appreciated.
