Cool, well it seems my computer isnt mad anymore at me. I could post words to the thread of other peoples posts, but when i tried to post this thing on or after Valentines day, it wouldnt let me past the signin screen even after i was logged on. Pretty wierd. Heres pics of my Valentines present to my girl. She is in real estate sales. This was made because one day i was at her work and said how boring her desk and cubicle are. No models on desk of hotrod cars, nothing to play with for idle hands, not even a cool rubber band machine gun to irratate her co workers with. hahah
Here is my contibution. She loved it, and im glad. I have 18-20 hours in it cause i had to re stain it and refinish it after it didnt take too well the first time. It holds her pencils and pens, and the top flips open and inside slides out to hide a set of car keys in bottom of house, when shes away from the desk. And i purchashed a new Dewalt router for the project with no guilt for our coffee tables im making her for her house on one for me next for my house. How many people can say they got a Mohogany key and pencil holder? It fits perfect on the front corner of her desk with the business cards sticking out to the customers who walk by. And in this present market, realators need all the help they can get.

Just needs a coat of polish and dusting now in these pics. But she took it away too fast and now its in her possession. lol I had planned on felting the inside, but ran outta time for Valentines day. She loved it any ways.
Lesson learned, homemade gifts are always better than store bought gifts which goes hand and hand with the rule that a baby or kitten will always rather play with the wrapping paper plus box, than the gift itself.

Jeff you have come along way. Since your handyman moved. I am proud of you GRASSHOPPER. One day I will return. Looks great man.

haha I may have some other talents, but i still can't cook to save my life JP. :) That is my weakness ill leave other more experienced people to do. I'll just volunteer to do the dishes like usuall. lol
Thanks everyone. I was sittin out in garage one night and saw all the leftovers from my truck console project. It wasnt untill i visited her office for lunch when i got the idea and quietly stored it away and started working on it in secret for a surprize.

Thanks Kracker, I still remember when you fell through the floor of my old place we were fixing up from the hurricane. I laughed so hard i had tears once i found out you were alright. I almost have a collection of wood construction tools like yours now. I'll post pics of the coffee/ end tables when i get on em.

Wow, that is awesome! And such a thoughtful gift. I sure hope Hubby reads this thread.

Yea I remember falling through the floor. it was Pretty funny. I also remember you need your furnace lit every winter. LOL. when can i see pics of the console

Yeah i hated that furnace. I never had your patience to hold the door open and hold that burning paper in there till it lit. Glad it only needed it once a year. hah Pics of console are up next after i deliver those cabinets and get some grey pickle stain to match the interior.
