I rented a Toyota Corolla

I rented it for a week while I was out of town on business.

I asked for an American automobile, but all they had was a Toyota or a Kia appliance.

This one had 7000 miles on it. I don't know why people like these cars, I hated it. It had a weak engine, hard seats, soft brakes, horrible blind spots, a terrible sounding radio, a loud heater blower, and a horrible front wheel drive steering feel. And of course, it's ugly.

When I drove my 94 black Mark VIII to the airport parking lot, it was filthy, and it was still filthy when I got back to it.:)

It looked beautiful to me when I came back though. It was so nice getting back into my comfy 16 year old Lincoln, cranking up the tunes, and pushing down an accelerator that put a big smile on my face.:D

I actually got lucky the last 2 times I rented a car and asked for an American automobile. All they had were Chrysler Seebring convertibles (in Florida and California:)) and they gave me those at the same price as my reserved car.

The Chryslers were great cars compared to that Toyota.

Yes, that's right, I like Chryslers better than Toyotas.:)

Thats why I sold my SVT Contour recently. I thought I would love it and keep it forever when I first bought it. But it just didn't have a "soul" and I never fell in love with it. I've only had my Mark Viii for a month and I'm just crazy about it. I stare and admire it at work everytime I go into the parking lot. I think I'll stick with Mark Viii's for a long time and possibly buy more than one like a lot of you guys on here.

We rented a Chrysler 300 last year for a week, it was a very nice riding car. Great for renting but I don't think I'd ever own one.

LOL. My wife has had both. Hated the Chrysler Concorde and now has a Toyota Solara that she loves.

I would rather drive the Concorde (but it could not make it past 120k miles)To me the Solara has no power is uncomfortable not refiened and rattles ALOT more than any vibration I have in the Mark.

My buddy rented a 2.7 Liter Charger that was the equivalent of a Toyota Corolla power-wise.

He probably could have merged onto the highway a little easier if he did this>>> :fart

duh... :D

I lucked out when I went out to get my grey car, got a new Ford Fusion as a rental... it was a nice little buggy, very well equipped, pretty comfortable, it didn't feel fast, but it got up to 80+ in no time at all. My biggest complaint was that it got blown all over the road by the wind... the MK8 didn't have that problem at all on the return trip.
