What a game last night! I'm gonna be on the road for game 3, and in Carlisle for 4 and 5, but I may have a heart attack before then.
 
Congrats to the Hawks! Now my lowly Maple Laffs own the longest drought in the Stanley Cup competition. And it ain't gettin' better soon!:(

and the Hawks won the cup.

Good for them.

But I am still proud of a team that shouldn't have been there in the first place and that made history this year. in 20 years what will people remember more? The team that got the cup or the team that did something only 3 other teams in all of sports has done.
 
Me? I'm gonna remember winning the Cup and the celebration that took place in this great city that I hadn't even been born for last time it happened. :D
 
Congrats,Sharon. The Blackhawks are a great organization,and once again a proud one,the original six needs to win every year. Just remember all this when My Rangers come for you(Hopefully). Enjoy this cup, it's been too long in coming for a great hockey town.

Thanks! Last year I sent Hubby and the Kid to see the Rangers game at the UC for the Kid's b-day. We don't see too many Eastern Conference teams, so it's hard to keep up.

But really, it brought tears to my eyes, including the unbelievable parade. It's just so awesome, it's hard to describe.
