ok does anybody know how 2 order parts off of lincoln motor sport because I called both numbers and they both say out of service.
??

... that should tell you something right there...

What do you want to order from them? They are over on LVC(lincolnvscadillac.com) or I should he (Geno).

LMS just repackages a chip, I remember when he got called on charginng $100 over the retail value claiming it had special programming when it didn't. Stick with Lonnie, he's your best bet.

Yea, what everyone else said. You really can't go wrong with SCT and any tuner will tell you that a C&L maf is nearly impossible to tune correctly with.

IMHO:

I have the LMS air meter and I would trade it today for 100.00 plus a stock air box and meter.

I have had every chip known to man for the mark 8, from literally every vendor..and the SCT stuff is hands down better than any of the "canned tunes" you get via mail order tunes.

I would suggest either Lonnie at Blue Oval or Torrie at Fast Parts Network
Both have great tunes and superb customer service.

If it was me, looking at a Air Meter and Chip.. I would skip the air meter and put that money towards the SCT Pro Racer Package from one of the vendors listed above.

Then you would have the ability to tweak your tune to your personal preference, because "shift schedules, shift feel and TC lock up rates" are subject to opinion..
it's nice to be able to "tweak to your liking" and IMHO the SCT PRP is well worth the investment.

not just "any" tuner, Jerry (the man) says they aren't worth the aluminum they are cast from.

the mark 8 air meter is perfectly suited for a naturally aspirated car.

unless you put a super charger on the car, the stock meter is "just fine".

I am moving "back to the stock air meter" as soon as I can "OFF" this C&L on someone that "just has to have one".!
HAHA

I have the MAF too, and I have removed it from my car. Jerry did tune my car, with the C&L MAF (the one LMS sells), so it is possible... but you're not going to get an off-the-shelf chip to match the MAF, and I had to drive 8 hours and pay a few hundred dollars to get that custom tune :)

I'm pretty sure all this thing does is trick the computer into thinking there is less air than it actually allows, making it run lean.

I still use a K&N cone filter, but I have dumped the gigantic one that came from LMS after almost 6 years and now use a slightly smaller cone. I hope it is big enough...

However I did just buy a stock airbox on ebay and would sell my MAF for $99 LOL.

Guys, just a hint - you're not gonna sell the MAF's if you keep telling people they aren't worth it. ;)

I feel the same way, i had JW dyno tune my car as well with it on, so i did get a little out of it and it has been on for over 60k miles now. I don't think it is worth it, but now i am stuck with it. If i did it all over again i would forgo messing with the stock air box for an N/A car with simple mods.

yea but I wouldn't want to mislead anyone.. or perpetrate any of the HYPE that goes along with this part.

BUT.. some people regardless of the facts will purchase this MAF..

just as I did.
*hangs head in shame*

I'm not holding my breath on selling mine...more than likely I'll wind up trading it for a stock meter and air box or tossing it in the dumpster when I dig up a stock meter and air box.

Jerry warned me, and I didn't listen.. MY BAD.

Tommy, I'll give you my stock air box for your cone filter. :)
