"'Lincolns of Distinction' Joins Enthusiasts
in Our Ford Performance Group of Clubs
While exciting products such as the all-new Lincoln MKC just unveiled at Detroit's North American International Auto Show are making headlines for the Lincoln Motor Company, enthusiasts from all over the country continue to celebrate the brand's classic showroom stars from previous years. Long known for style and luxury, Lincoln has a performance heritage that dates back to the late '20s, when its reputation for durability and speed made it a favorite of rum runners and police departments alike. It also has a racing legacy that surfaced during the Carrera Panamericana runs in the early 1950s, and was later immortalized by "Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen" with their song, Hot Rod Lincoln.

We came across a fun-loving group of Lincoln owners at last year's Carlisle Ford Nationals, and their appreciation for performance and the Ford enthusiast lifestyle convinced us to select them for the "Coolest Club Hangout" award. We're also pleased to announce that their club, Lincolns of Distinction, is now included in the Ford Performance Group of enthusiast organizations promoted on FordRacing.com. Check out their club page, and join them if you like to play with your Continental, LSC, Mark VII and VIII, LS – even Town Car, Navigator or any Lincoln! If you think your club deserves inclusion in our performance group, send an email to AskTFR@Ford.com to tell us why and request more info. Then join us online in our "Enthusiasts" section, because we're driving Ford passion!"
