low wiper fluid

My compter keeps tellin me the windsheild wiper fluid is low. I filled it and every time I start my car it goes off, there is no leak cuz I already checked and its still full but still saying its low. I unpluged the battery and that didnt work either.

The only thing I can think of is a squirrel gettin under my car and chewing on wires or something?

There is a float sensor in the washer fluid reservoir that has failed. It can be replaced but access is a pain. See if your local dealer can procure the part for you.

You could also bypass it if you don't care that you won't know when your fluid runs out.

Also.......did it tell you this recently and it WAS actually LOW? Sometimes the floats will get stuck to the bottom of the tank when empty, and not "float" up when filled. If indeed you did need to fill it, reach down inside the front bumper(you have to remove the headlight cover) and bang on the side of the tank.
