There is a Car Show every Saturday about 30 mins from Edison at the
Whiskey Café in Lyndhurst, NJ. Right off of route 3 and 17 by Medieval Times. Starts at 5 PM, the car club that runs it ask for a $1 donation when you drive in.
They welcome just about everything except rice. I seen classics, muscle, and late model cars there, including Ferrari, the new Mustangs and GTOs. Last week some kid blew up his Mark VII on the way out of there, I had left by then.

Here are some pics from last week (6/4) before i took off for a an NYC run with the Vette guys:

For future reference, the shows are every Saturday until October.

Between working full time, going for my masters part time and taking a summer class I like to sleep late on Saturdays. I know it's your guys thing, but the Homestyle Buffet not much of an incentive to get a non-morning person (me) up in the AM. If it was a week night I would defiantly be able to make it, it is on my way home from work.
I also enjoy/prefer going on runs then just meeting up in parking lot to BS. It is a lot of fun to convoy around scenic roads with a group of car enthusiast no matter what the make and years of the cars.

Some suggestions for the future, if you guys can meet up later in the day for lunch sometime there is a very good Tex/Mex restaurant a few miles up the road on route one in Iselin. It is called Jose Tejas, I have never been there for lunch, but I have for dinner and it is always crowded. The prices are very reasonable and the portions good. Here is a map: http://maps.yahoo.com/py/maps.py?Py...WAY+1+N&csz=ISELIN+NJ+08830&Get%A0Map=Get+Map

I never been to this place, but it looks interesting as well and it is also right up the road: J.J. Bitting Brewing Company Woodbridge, New Jersey : http://www.njbrewpubs.com/

As an example, here is a run being set up by the Vette people from High Point, NJ to the Long Valley Brew Pub right off route 78 http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1113406&forum_id=40

Lots of scenic roads out by the NJ/PA boarder, and Delaware water gap etc. If some one plans a run I would be interested in that.

If any one is interested I could set up a Soprano's tour by me, there are a few shooting locations in my town and surrounding area. Unfortunately I don't have the room to host a BBQ or I would]. However, there are lot's of good restaurants in the Iron Bound section of Newark.
