Might buy a 01 Ls and need some advise

Well one of my wifes friends is selling a 01 lincoln Ls and from the pics that they have send me the Car apears to be in perfect condition. I havenf really has the time to go and actually test drive the Car or anything, i know that it has alittle over 100k as far A's miles goes but thats all i really know about it.
They are asking 3,500 For it.

I really now nothing about the Ls models so what should ive bee looking for wen i go see wen i go see this Car?
Any flaws on this models what are things that i shloud be looking for?
Any thing that usualu goes wrong with this cars?

Any help or ideas would be welcome!

I'm not sure what year models - but some had a problematic hydraulic cooling fan. The other thing that sticks in my mind is the tranny is sealed. So you may want to inquire if any service has been required on these two items.
 
I think the hydraulic fan was only on V6 models.

I would watch for faulty valve covers and ignition coils, as well as weak from suspension components... Those seem to be very common problems.
 
From what Iv'e heard from mechanics, the V-8 that was offered in those is a junk version of the Jag 4.0 V-8 (which wasn't great to begin with). The 3.0 V-6 however is a Duratec and I've only ever heard good things about those.

+1 on the cooling fan and suspension, otherwise very nice cars.
