Decided to check this event out, and it turned out to be a cool gathering with a DJ, and BBQ filling the air :) Cracked me up though - the gate people did not want to let me in to the display area. They thought I was kidding them when I said I wanted to show my car. lol I said thank you, and I guess my stealthy sleeper look really works! :) Once again, I had the only Mark in the show. :(

Here is a link to the event calendar for the next cruise-in:

All cars were welcome. It was a cruise-in with no judging or awards. There was a new z06 vette two spaces away from me, and down the way were newer GTO's, and Mustangs, so my 11 year old Mark was not the newest car there. lol, They just had no clue what I was driving, or what was done to it

I'm jealous.

We don't have much around here either when it comes to cruise-ins and shows. There's a local club that hosts a handful of shows, but unless you have a 50's something or a spanking new muscle car, you kinda feel out of place. I don't think they quite know what to think of my Lincoln either, LOL. :D

Nice pics. :)

Same problem around here . . . even my '89 Mustang is too new :(

The cruise-in's are gaining in popularity around here. Especially the ones hosted by the cities and towns. They all charge just a couple bucks for charity to park, and it is a great way to network info with participants to restore and modify your car for a good cause.

There is a cruise-in or car show every weekend within 10 miles of my house now. And, there are two drag strips within 100 miles, so there is plenty of things to do with your Mark on the weekends in metro ATL. :)

Looks like fun! I've gotten that look before at a HUGE Tasca show. They looked at me like I was nuts driving in with a tan lincoln. So I popped the hood and they saw a nice eaton sitting on top and changed their minds. The funny thing is one of the Tasca guys had his gen 1 mark with 5V heads on display right near the building where all the special cars were.........supposedly one off heads.......couldn't get any details on it.

We have a few shows around the Fresno area, but most are set up for the low rider guys, but i am hoping to show mine a few times this summer and see if can make a few new contacts myself.Pics were great thanks for sharing.
