I am in the process of researching replacement rotors and pads for my front Brembo setup. I stupidly wasn't paying too much attention to the brakes until I noticed the passenger side wasn't actually working:embarrassed:. I need to smarten up sometimes. Unfortunately when I looked at the rotors I noticed they are pretty much gone! No more slots there, so again:embarrassed:. But considering I only put like 5500 miles on them i figured I didn't have to think of them for a while - ignorance sometimes is not so blissful.
I believe Mike (mlschultz) had at some point posted a link to a page that described the different types of pads (red vs green, etc, for brake dust etc). I can't seem to find it now though. I'll keep on searching.
So, in summary the front passenger caliper is not actually putting pressure on to the rotor and when I release the brake it makes a squeaking/creaking noise The brake dust that is created is unbearable. The rotors are done! I'm looking for a 13" drilled and slotted rotor with good wear characteristics and likely a red pad for minimal brake dust.
Just felt like sharing. Feel free to spoon feed me some great info.
