muffler delete or aftermarket mufflers?

if i do decide to go with an aftermarket exhaust setup "custom" does anyone have any suggestions? how is lms's exhaust system?
 
ok, what do you think about lincoln motorsports exhaust system? they are only like 2-3 hrs from me and although id rather work on my car myself if i buy their product i may have them install it aswell for about $800-900 with parts
 
also i tried to go to a muffler shop to get the muffs cut off and no one would hear it, they told me everything from it will have no backpressure to my car isnt a sports car and i dont want to do that.. could easily do it myself but just seeing what the cost for them would be.. im really leaning towards the lms exhaust system i just want to know if my engine light will always be on and if i should get a blue oval chip or lms chip (if one is recommended with an exhaust at all) thanks
 
Are you getting the cats cut off too? IF not, no CEL with just the mufflers removed. You have 3 sensors - one on each exhaust bank and one after the 3rd cat. The cats will provide the little back pressure required.

not that it matters but IMO the bullets rock! i got them and they sound much better then my old t bird with just tips. no much drone at all. from the youtubes ive seen, just tips on a mark make it sound as if it were a mark with just tips. crappy.... but like i said thats my opinion..

Your car IS a sports car...a luxury sports car by Lincoln. If they don't believe it, take 'em for a real RIDE!!
 
yea i kno, that guy had something wrong with him i think maybe he was a little slow, and yea i know i shoulda took him for a ride he woulda changed his mind (especially the way i drive) ha.. by the way what does lsc stand for?

I think the LMS system is far too much money, but that is really up to the person buying the stuff.

Since you are so close to LMS it might not be a bad deal for you...
But I think the entire kit plus the install IS 800-900 dollars, I could be wrong. but I think that is what I saw on their website.

You could do as good for far cheaper, but that is only if you have a friendly exhaust shop that wants to do the work, rather than "talking you out of the job".
 
ok thanks for all the help, my plan now is to buy the lms mufflers (ebay its a little cheaper) and have a local shop install them for me (have a good one in mind)

custom bent from cats back is usually much more than 180. maybe thats just in my area.... i dont know. the shop i almost took my car to.. told me 90 a side for the muffs then he started adding in all these other figures. i told him he was trying to rob me and left. could be the great state of florida!!!!
