the time has come for me to sell my baby. I am buying a 2004 LS on friday so i no longer need the VIII. KBB lists it at about $2000 for fair condition, i'm asking half that. 156,000 miles, mostly highway. I bought it in 2000 with 68,000 miles on it. Oil has been changed by me every 3000-5000 miles using mobil.
The Good:
It has a 280 HP V8 that still runs VERY strong, gets 30 MPG highway, 20 city, the trim on the inside is painted to match the outside (burgundy). J-Moded. the chrome strip along the outside was taken out and filled in for a smoother look, tinted windows to 20%. It is the Oldest Mark known to exist, build number 86 i believe, but in 09/92. Air ride still works fine.
Bad:
Body need some work, a bit of rust under the drivers door, and the front and rear bumpers have some issues where the original chrome strip was taken and and filled in to look smooth. (the sides look perfect still) The rear shocks need replaced. A/C needs fixed. a tear in the leather for the drivers seat, the center console lid broke off. Drivers side door sags a bit. It will not have speakers, but will still have an Alpine CD player in perfect shape.
