Hello, if you didn't read my introduction post awhile back let me just say I've been on these forums for years and now I'm an actual "Member" (YAY!). Anyway, I would like to give you all an idea of the mods I would like to install on my car vs. what I want it to do vs. reality.

So, this is my fourth Mark Viii - I've had a 96 base model with a tune (never took it to the track), a 97 LSC w/ 100 wet shot of Nitrous with no other mods (literally not even a tune) that ran a 13.80 at 102-MPH and also had 201k miles on it when I got it and it died at 235k (compression loss on cylinder #8), and a 93 that burned to the ground shortly after installing a new transmission on it (myself) from an oil leak that leaked on the headers - blown head gasket. So... with all that said , years later I am again an owner of a 97 Lincoln Mark Viii. This one is a base model, but I love the silver frost color and the extended and particular options equipped.

Let's go ahead and get to the point of the thread, I would like for the car to dip in the 12's (1/4 mile time) WITH Nitrous, and I'll accept just about any other track time without it. So, I won't be putting the Nitrous back on the car until I install a fuel pump at the very least. Let's go over with some of my ideas of what I want done to the car (in order).

#1- New transmission, first gear is failing. The cooler bought me many extra miles, but its time to pull it like a bad tooth. I'm guessing a 02 or newer 4R70W will do? Will it still need the Jmod?
#2- Stall converter, please give me an idea of a practical stall 2500 - 3500 - 4500? I would like to keep the car as drivable as possible, and I understand a higher stall will cause slippage and hard to drive normally.
#3- 4.10 gears, though I absolutely love slamming 2nd gear at 80 mph, I wan't the 1/4 mile time more and how much time / speed difference between the 4.10's and the 3.73's ?
#4-Exhaust - duals with x pipe no cat no mufflers (no headers)
#5-Computer tune! - Will this need to be done again after Nitrous installation??
#6- 255 or higher rated fuel pump (preparation for a wet shot of Nitrous) - Am I right?
#7- 100 HP wet shot of Nitrous (I've done this before and know how to install it properly)

So what do you guys think? Would you change the order of how/when it's done? Do you think she might dip in the 12 second range? Thanks in advance for all your input!
