My Vette against 335i coupe

So.... I am in love with the 335i coupe and that is the car i would get if i wanted to blow 50k on a car...

I had a rare chance to race one...

1 pull 0-80.

Man that thing WAS FASTER than the M3 for sure. It was 106 out today so he may have had the advatage of having two turbos. But he also had a passenger and I did not. But I am 217 and the dude looked at most 150 and his friend was around the same.
His car was lowered and it had different rims. Not sure if he had other mods.

But that thing hung with me all the way to 60 and chirped 2nd at around 40 or so I slammed it at 55 or so. I started to pass him and by the time I shifted into 3rd he was at my bumper.

But damn that thing hung with me... it was dead even until 60 or so.
 
I thought the M3 beat you to 60? Stock they are about as fast as the E46 M3 but I would still give the edge to the M3.
 
No way Serge... M3 was way slower than this thing.... WAY slower. As I said I waited for these guys to punch it and then I caught and passed them in both cases (m3 and 335i) But the 335 really hung with me toe to toe until 60ish after I shifted into 2nd it started to slow down a bit.
 
It might have been chipped then. If you look at the magazine 1/4 mile numbers the M3 is typically a few tenths and about 1-2mph in the 1/4 mile.
 
well keep the weather in mind too. When I was racing the 335i it was 108 outside so the turbos really helped him out. Where as it was 60 when I raced the m3.

335i has been my favorite sport sedan/coupe since it came out but i like it even more since that race :D
