Need a radio amp

My "New2Me" Mark VIII's amp is shot, only owned the car 24 hours and it went poof...
I am not looking to upgrade just want to plug-N-play...It is a 1994 Mark VIII, and JBL was called and they gave me Ford's number.
I don't mind buying another brand but feel it will not fit and the plugs will not match, so any advice would be nice.

PS to Mods; I would have placed this in the " Car audio & Gadgets" section, but it was for after market and mine is factory. Sorry in advance if this should have been placed there.

Yes, there is no stock stereo section. You could have put this in the electrical section, but General Tech is OK too.

As you see from the replies, an amp shouldn't be too hard to find.

you have to let us know if you have a jbl system or a standard premium ford sound. easiest way to know is if you have little speaker grills up near the top of the door panel close to the outside mirrors. and only an amp from 93 or 94 will work in your mark. 95-98 all use a different amp.
